The Great Software Rebuild

@jhodsdon

I think AI-generated code is piling up faster than anyone can maintain it, and within the next year or two that mess forces a wave of expensive rebuilds. The market treats IT services firms as AI's casualties, but I think cleanup demand swamps whatever billable hours AI replaces, so this basket owns the consultants who collect on that wave. It leans hardest into specialist modernizers who win rebuild contracts fastest, backed by global integration giants, offshore delivery firms for volume work, and government systems rebuilders with sticky contracts, plus cash held in reserve to add if the…

Consulting Survives the Shakeout

@sidv

I think the market is overreacting to AI killing consulting, when really it's killing the deck factories and body shops. Companies are still run by humans making hard calls, and someone has to stand behind the answer, so I own the judgment work like disputes and restructuring that's hard to automate, paired with firms actually building AI into implementation rather than just presenting it, plus government transformation specialists and AI-native disruptors doing real deployment work. I skip pure staffing and IT outsourcing on purpose.

Ultra-Rare Cures, Four Shots

@phil

I believe AI and programmable medicine are about to make drugs for diseases with only a few hundred patients commercially viable, and that regulators letting one editing platform count as the drug across many mutations is the unlock. CHOP's umbrella trial under that framework is the near-term proof point I'm watching, so I built this for conviction, not balance: base and prime editing platforms, an AI drug discovery engine, and a beaten-down RNA editing name, each at a full 25% position with no cash cushion.

Compliance Software Rebound

@rich

I think the market oversold compliance software on fears that AI makes it obsolete, but these are the systems wired into audits, regulators, and legal risk that nobody rips out for an unproven tool. So this basket leans into the deepest moats: systems of record for drug trials, local governments, insurance, and SEC filings, with smaller slices in tax and payroll engines, audit reporting tools, and identity controls. I'm holding 10% in cash to add if prices dip further, betting on a rebound over the next few months rather than ripping the idea out if the group stays cheap longer than expected.

Work Stays Boring

@dan

I think work changes far less than the AI hype suggests, so I'm betting on the boring middle. One side owns the software tools people already use daily, which just bolt on AI and charge more. The other side owns businesses priced like AI wipes them out, payroll, IT services, data and research firms, screened for sticky customers and real cash profits. I keep a small cash buffer, avoid single-name concentration, and plan to hold for years unless the actual pace of job disruption proves faster than history suggests.

Agents Get Audited

@ax1vc

Companies can't sell shares without audited books, but agents move real money with no independent check on their decisions, just the vendor grading its own exam. I think that gap closes once agents manage serious money, so this owns the businesses that sell trust for a living: ratings agencies, credit bureaus, and certifiers, while skipping pure security vendors and exchanges. It keeps a small cash buffer and holds no single name too heavily. I'd change my mind if agents stay stuck at pocket money, since then nobody pays to check them.

Discovery Economy Toolmakers

@mattcynamon

I believe we're shifting from a knowledge economy, where you get paid for what you know, to a discovery economy, where you get paid for finding what nobody knows yet, and AI is the force multiplier making that shift real. Rather than betting on who discovers next, I own the toolmakers who get paid on every attempt: instrument giants, simulation and AI-for-science software, DNA synthesis and sequencing, lab automation, and physical-science instruments, spread broadly across the toolkit. I'm holding a cash buffer and thinking in years, not quarters.

Apple Holds, Chips Crack

@amplify

I believe Apple's cash-flow engine keeps holding up even as the AI chip rally cracks under its own weight. So I barbell it: Apple at the top single-position weight on one end, and a triple-levered inverse semiconductor fund at the same weight on the other, betting on a fast, sharp drop in chip stocks. Since that short side resets daily and decays if chips just chop sideways, I keep the middle deliberately boring with short-term treasuries and a large cash reserve to keep the shape honest.

The One-Person Company Stack

@jenamehta10

I believe solopreneurship becomes a mainstream career path as AI lets one person do what used to take a team, so I own the plumbing every solo business needs to run itself. The heaviest weight sits in back-office software, the taxes, books, payroll, and invoicing tools, with the rest split across getting paid, storefronts, and the customer software solos run on. I lean on established platforms with smaller stakes in punchier names, keep 8% cash to add on dips, and plan to hold for years since this is a slow structural shift, not a quarterly bet.

The Appearance Economy

@alex

As AI takes over more knowledge work, I think the traits machines can't replicate get more valuable, and looking good is one of the biggest. So this basket bets on the whole appearance economy: the heaviest weight sits in GLP-1s and aesthetic procedures where spend is stickiest, balanced by beauty, fitness, and athleisure names for steadier exposure, plus a small slice of platforms that monetize attractiveness directly. I'm holding about 8% in cash and thinking in five-year terms, since this is a structural shift, not a quick trade.

The Nursing Squeeze

@sirney

I believe the nursing shortage is structural, not temporary, and burnout plus pay leverage will keep squeezing hospitals for years. This basket plays both sides: staffing and training names that capture scarce labor pricing, automation and monitoring tech that helps floors run with fewer hands, and virtual and home care that shifts patients off the floor entirely. I added healthcare ballast and kept cash on the side, sizing it broad across many names rather than betting on one, since this plays out over years, not quarters.

Herramientas del solopreneur

@mimundoconia

Climbing the AI Value Stack

@ethan

I believe AI's value is climbing up the stack: the chips and cloud layers are built out and priced, so the next gains go to software infrastructure and then to AI-native apps, agents, and robotics where feedback loops compound fastest. The portfolio spans that whole ladder, from distribution-heavy incumbents to the data plumbing agents need to a smaller sleeve in robotics and consumer devices, with a cash buffer kept on the side. I'm weighting where value lands next rather than betting on one layer, and I'd rethink this if the migration upward stalls or reverses back toward the base layers.

Scarce Trust Premium

@giordanobc

My belief is that AI is making content, expertise, and even identity itself abundant and easy to fake, so what becomes scarce and valuable is trust: whoever verifies it, arbitrates it, or embodies it gains pricing power. I built a broad basket across that whole stack, weighted heaviest toward identity verification, then trust arbiters, live human experiences AI can't replicate, and brands with direct customer relationships. No single name dominates, I keep a small cash reserve to add on weakness, and I'm holding this for years since it's a structural shift, not a trade.
