The idea
I believe that as AI makes knowledge work cheap, the only things worth paying up for become deliberately scarce beauty and extreme physical experiences, so I built a concentrated basket around exactly that: limited-run cars and craft goods, expedition travel and elevation resorts, spectacle venues and live entertainment, and furniture sold like art. No mass brands, no mall retail, no big hotel chains, just fourteen names chosen to swing hard. I'm holding a large cash reserve to buy the drops this kind of concentrated bet will produce, running the idea on a roughly two-year view.
What it owns
- Companies that sell deliberately scarce, beautiful things at prices most people cannot pay, taste in its purest form. · Ferrari N.V.It builds fewer cars than people want to buy, on purpose, making scarcity the core value driver., Ermenegildo Zegna N.V.It is hands sewing cloth, the opposite of mass output, where craft becomes the point rather than just a premium., Amer Sports, Inc.It owns Arc'teryx, gear people buy to go do hard, beautiful things outdoors, tying objects and experiences together., Inter Parfums, Inc.It makes scent for luxury houses, a product that only exists as a physical, sensory experience., 1stDibs.com, Inc.It sells one-of-a-kind furniture and design objects, so its entire business depends on scarcity and the appeal of rare items to affluent collectors treating purchases like art acquisitions.30%
- The far end of travel, expedition ships, luxury casinos, mountain resorts, where the splurge is the whole point. · Viking Holdings LtdIt sells destination-first voyages where travel is a considered experience, not a floating commodity., Wynn Resorts, LimitedIt builds the most expensive rooms in Vegas and Macau, betting that the top end of resort spending keeps pulling away., Vail Resorts, Inc.It owns mountains, which nobody can make more of, so the scarcity is literal and skiing becomes a trophy experience., Lindblad Expeditions HoldingsIt takes people to Antarctica and the Galapagos on small ships, about as far to the edge of physical life as a public company gets.24%
- Physical experiences so extreme no screen can copy them, the hard antithesis to life inside software. · Sphere Entertainment Co.It is a building people fly to Las Vegas just to sit inside, the rawest bet that spectacle commands premium prices., Live Nation EntertainmentIt is the toll road for concerts, winning on the shift toward paying for experiences over stuff., Madison Square Garden EntertainmentIt owns venues whose value is that there is only one of each, irreplaceable in-person nights out.18%
- Betting that people will turn their homes into galleries, the most personal place to spend on beauty. · RHIt sells furniture in galleries and prices it like art, the clearest expression of the home-as-gallery idea., Arhaus, Inc.It sells handmade furniture from named artisans, craft as the product story in the home.13%
