The idea
I believe personal AI agents (think Muse, Grok Bot, Instinct, Dots) become normal over the next five to ten years, and whether they run in the cloud or on local AI PCs, demand for computing power per person goes way up. So I built this to win either way: memory and chip makers at the core since they get paid regardless of where the agent lives, surrounded by the cloud platforms building these agents, the data center suppliers powering it all, and device makers selling the AI PCs and phones.
What it owns
- Every agent needs memory and processors whether it runs in a data center or on a personal device, so these companies win either way. · Micron TechnologyIt makes memory that every agent needs in cloud data centers and on personal computers, and memory now sets the limit on how large an AI model can run on a device., Advanced Micro DevicesIt sells processors and AI chips for servers that host agents and also makes processors inside many personal computers, so it wins whether agents run in the cloud or on desks., Taiwan Semiconductor ManufacturingIt manufactures the advanced chips for NVIDIA, AMD, Apple, Qualcomm and many others, so it gets paid no matter whose chip ends up running an agent., NVIDIAIts chips power most cloud computers that agents run on today, and its RTX Spark chip with large shared memory pushes onto personal devices., Arm HoldingsIts chip designs sit inside nearly every phone and a growing share of laptops, so more agents on more devices means more chips built on its designs., IntelIt still makes processors in a huge share of everyday personal computers, so it wins if agents push people to upgrade to AI computers., SandiskAgents that run all day pile up files, history and memories that must be stored somewhere in the cloud or on the device, so storage needs keep rising.39%
- These companies rent out the cloud computers that agents live on today, and some of them build the agents themselves. · MicrosoftIt rents agent computing through Azure and also sells Windows and Copilot for AI personal computers, so it wins on both sides of agent deployment., AmazonAWS is the largest place to rent cloud computers that run individual agents, so agent demand keeps filling its data centers., AlphabetIt builds its own agents, runs Google Cloud on its own chips, and puts AI on billions of Android phones across all agent deployment paths., Meta PlatformsIt makes personal agents and spends heavily on data centers to run them, so it wins as long as its agents get wide use.24%
- Agents running in the cloud need power gear, cooling and networking inside data centers to stay always-on. · VertivIt sells the cooling and power gear that every cloud data center needs to run agents, so it wins as long as data centers keep expanding., Arista NetworksIt sells the networking switches that connect thousands of AI servers inside data centers running agents., EatonIt makes the electrical equipment that data centers need to get and manage power for power-hungry agent computers.16%
- If agents move onto devices on desks or in pockets, these are the companies selling that hardware. · AppleIts iPhones and Macs share memory between processor and graphics to run AI models right on the device if agent work moves off the cloud., Dell TechnologiesIt sells AI personal computers to individuals and servers to cloud companies, so it wins whichever way agents end up running., QualcommIt makes the chips with built-in AI inside most Android phones and a growing number of laptops, so it wins when agents run on personal devices.15%
