Copper Squeeze

The idea

I think copper stays tight, and a possible strike at a major British Columbia mine, on top of recent outages and soft Chilean output, keeps squeezing an already short market. The basket owns copper futures directly, then producers who gain from higher prices without losing output, core names first, then mid-sized pure plays and miner baskets for more leverage, plus two steady majors as ballast. I skipped the company facing the actual strike since its stock is tangled up with a pending merger. Cash sits a bit higher than usual, ready to add if prices ease once things settle.
