The idea
I believe climate disasters are becoming permanent enough that governments start funding disaster response like a standing military, with dedicated crews, contractors, and budgets that grow as floods, fires and heat waves keep coming. This basket owns both sides of that response: the frontline gear and protective equipment, and the aftermath crews who restring power lines, rebuild roads, and handle coastal defense, plus the heavy equipment and backup power that support them.
What it owns
- Firefighting, rescue and emergency response require specialized gear, vehicles and equipment that governments purchase to protect communities from disasters. · Perimeter SolutionsIt supplies fire retardant for aerial firefighting with minimal competition, so it captures spending growth from expanding wildfire suppression budgets., Oshkosh CorporationIt builds fire trucks and heavy rescue vehicles that emergency response organizations require, with sales tied to fleet expansion., MSA SafetyIt manufactures breathing apparatus and protective gear that growing fire and rescue forces must equip their personnel with., Federal SignalIt sells warning systems and specialty response trucks to municipalities preparing for floods, fires and extreme weather.24%
