The idea
I believe robots doing physical work will be one of the biggest wealth creators of the next decade, so instead of picking one winner I spread across every layer of the stack. The take holds the AI and chip names powering humanoids, the component makers every robot depends on, today's factory automation leaders, warehouse and delivery robotics, and surgical robots already generating real revenue, with a small cash buffer kept on the side.
What it owns
- The robot bodies and the AI that enables them are where the biggest upside sits if humanoids work at scale. · NVIDIA CorporationIt sells the chips and software most robot makers use to train and run AI, including private humanoid companies, and keeps building robot-specific products., Tesla, Inc.It is developing Optimus, a general-purpose humanoid robot, and moving it toward actual factory work with real engineering investment., Alphabet Inc.It develops Gemini Robotics models, the AI that lets a robot understand what it sees and decide what to do, and gets other robot makers to use it., XPeng Inc.It is building the IRON humanoid robot, giving the take a second humanoid bet outside Tesla while it keeps funding and moving toward production.23%
- Every robot, whoever builds it, needs motors, sensors and chips, so these suppliers win regardless of which maker dominates. · Teradyne, Inc.It owns Universal Robots, one of the biggest makers of cobots built to work next to people on factory floors and keep growing., Analog Devices, Inc.It makes chips that control motors and read sensors in every robot joint, with robotics and industrial automation as a real, growing part of sales., Regal Rexnord CorporationIt makes motors and actuators that physically move a robot's arms and joints, pushing into actuators for robots including humanoids., Novanta Inc.It makes small precision parts like motion control, encoders and lasers inside surgical and industrial robots, with robot makers as a core customer., Ouster, Inc.It makes lidar, the laser sensors that let robots and machines see in 3D and avoid obstacles, as robotics and automation buyers grow as a share of sales., Ambarella, Inc.It makes low-power chips that run vision AI right on the device, which is what a robot needs to see without a trip to the cloud.20%
- Surgical robots are the most proven robot business, with recurring revenue from every procedure and growing adoption across hospitals. · Intuitive Surgical, Inc.It makes the da Vinci system, the surgical robot most hospitals use, and already earns real money from robots doing physical work., Stryker CorporationIts Mako robot helps surgeons with knee and hip replacements in a business that already makes money and keeps spreading to more hospitals., Medtronic plcIt is building Hugo to compete in soft-tissue surgical robots, pushing it through approvals and into hospitals as a second big player., PROCEPT BioRobotics CorporationIt makes a robot that treats enlarged prostates using a water jet, with more urologists adopting the system and sales continuing to rise.19%
- Factories already buy robots and automation at scale, so this is the part of the story making money today. · Rockwell Automation, Inc.It is one of the biggest names in factory automation and earns money from it today while factories keep spending on automation., Cognex CorporationIt makes machine vision that lets factory and warehouse machines inspect, read and sort things, staying a leader in vision for automation., Emerson Electric Co.It sells the control systems that run automated plants, with automation staying at the center of its business.15%
- Warehouses are the first place robots replace human labor in large numbers outside factories, and the businesses doing this are already deployed. · Amazon.com, Inc.It runs the largest fleet of working robots in the world inside its warehouses, proving robots are already doing real work at scale., Symbotic Inc.It builds robot systems for automated warehouses serving big retailers, with customers continuing to order and install systems., Zebra Technologies CorporationIt sells scanners and mobile robots that move goods around warehouses, putting automation in front of thousands of businesses alongside core scanner sales., Serve Robotics Inc.It runs small sidewalk robots that deliver food, keeping the fleet and delivery partners growing while maintaining cash to keep going.15%
