Copper-Led Metals and Rare Earths

The idea
I believe copper is the metal to own right now, with tight supply meeting rising demand from the grid, data centers and electrification. About half the basket is copper, split evenly between big steady producers and smaller growers that move faster when prices climb. Gold and silver miners add a second leg bought well off their highs, while a smaller rare earths position bets on a rebound if trade tensions with China flare up again. I'm holding some cash back to add to copper on any sharp pullback.
What it owns
- The largest copper producers offer exposure to copper prices while maintaining stable balance sheets and long-lived mine assets. · Freeport-McMoRanIt is the largest US copper producer, providing steady exposure to copper demand from electrical grids, data centers and electrification., Southern CopperIt controls the largest rare earth-focused copper reserves of any listed miner, providing long-term exposure to tight supply conditions., Teck ResourcesIt has shifted toward copper-focused mining operations, making its profitability increasingly dependent on copper rather than coal demand., BHP GroupIt is the world's largest diversified miner actively shifting its portfolio toward copper as a long-term growth driver.25%
- Mid-sized miners expanding production see profits rise faster than major producers when copper prices climb higher. · Hudbay MineralsIt operates mid-sized copper mines with fast-growing profits during copper price rallies and advances its Copper World project in Arizona., Ero CopperIt is expanding copper production in Brazil with mines ramping at elevated price levels, driving faster profit growth than established producers., Taseko MinesIt produces copper from established and new mines while ramping additional capacity, benefiting from higher prices with accelerating output growth., Trilogy MetalsIt holds early-stage copper projects in Alaska positioned to advance if copper prices remain elevated and permitting pathways stay clear.25%
