The idea
A decade of renting everything, software, music, compute, even housing, has shown people what renting really costs, and I think demand is swinging back toward owning the real thing. This basket spreads that bet across four equal-ish layers: real food, real money in gold and bitcoin exposure leaning toward self-custody rather than ETFs or trusts, intelligence running on owned chips instead of rented cloud, and goods built to last and be repaired.
What it owns
- AI that runs on a chip owned directly instead of a cloud subscription represents the counter-trade to renting compute. · QualcommIt makes the chips that run AI directly on phones and laptops, putting intelligence on hardware rather than in rented cloud., AppleIt leads in pushing AI that runs privately on the device itself rather than handing the work to cloud compute services., Advanced Micro DevicesIt makes the processors that let a PC run AI models locally instead of renting cloud time., Dell TechnologiesIt sells the boxes and workstations that put intelligence on a desk rather than requiring everything rented from the cloud., AmbarellaIt makes chips that do AI vision on the device itself, cameras and cars that think locally with no cloud round-trip.25%
