The idea
I believe privacy money is about to have its moment, and with Monero getting delisted from regulated exchanges, Zcash is the one left standing that institutions and retail can actually buy. So I put a quarter of the portfolio directly in ZEC, add more conviction through Cypherpunk Technologies' ZEC treasury, then ring it with large liquid coins and the exchanges that profit from the trading surge. I'm holding extra cash on the side to buy into the sharp dips this kind of bet always brings, over a one to two year window.
What it owns
- The take bets that privacy coins overtake Bitcoin as a store of value and medium of exchange, with Zcash as the privacy coin available on regulated venues at scale. · ZcashIt is the privacy coin this take expects to reprice hard against Bitcoin as institutional and retail demand shift toward coins offering actual privacy on regulated exchanges., Cypherpunk Technologies Inc.It holds Zcash as corporate treasury and amplifies Zcash's repricing through leverage, moving harder than Zcash itself if the privacy trade unfolds as expected.35%
- Major coins that rise alongside broad crypto demand, steadying the basket if Zcash's repricing against Bitcoin takes longer than expected while keeping capital in the crypto ecosystem. · EthereumIt rises with broad crypto adoption and demand without depending on the privacy narrative, cushioning the basket during slower periods while staying exposed to the same crypto wave., BitcoinIt anchors the basket to overall crypto movement and still rises in dollar terms even if Zcash outpaces it, capturing the broader institutional adoption this take expects., SolanaIt amplifies crypto market moves more than Bitcoin, providing extra lift when broad demand strengthens enough to fuel a privacy-coin repricing., LitecoinIt offers optional privacy through MimbleWimble on regulated venues, catching some of the same institutional and retail demand that flows toward privacy-enabled coins.26%
- Trading venues and dealers earn fees on every transaction, so they profit as volume surges during a privacy-coin rally without depending on which coin wins. · Coinbase GlobalIt is the main US exchange where this take's Zcash repricing actually happens, earning fees on every trade as volume surges with privacy-coin interest., Galaxy DigitalIt is the dealer institutions use to acquire privacy coins at scale, profiting from flows when institutional demand for Zcash and similar assets accelerates., Robinhood MarketsIt captures retail frenzy when privacy coins reprice hard, with crypto revenue swelling as trading volume rises during the market move this take expects., BullishIt earns fees on crypto trading volume, so any privacy-coin repricing that attracts new market participants lifts its revenue directly.22%
