America Builds the Hemisphere

The idea
I believe the US is pulling its own hemisphere closer, moving supply chains and security focus toward the Americas regardless of exactly when places like Venezuela or Cuba open up. So I own the US-side builders of that shift: engineering and construction firms, machinery exporters, ports and rail, energy infrastructure, and defense contractors. I spread it across those groups rather than betting on single names, keep a small cash buffer, and plan to hold for years since this kind of buildout plays out slowly.
What it owns
- A more active US security posture in the hemisphere requires new ships, surveillance systems, and base construction that these contractors are built to provide. · L3Harris TechnologiesIt supplies the surveillance, communications, and sensor systems that a larger American security presence in the region would depend on., General DynamicsIt builds the ships and ground vehicles that a hardened US posture across the hemisphere would require in greater numbers., LeidosIt provides border security technology and base support systems, the government-services infrastructure that an expanded US footprint would demand., Huntington Ingalls IndustriesIt builds Navy ships, and expanded American presence in Caribbean and Latin American waters would require more hulls in the fleet.22%
- American machinery dominates hemispheric infrastructure projects, so equipment makers benefit from any buildout regardless of which country funds it. · CaterpillarIt makes the excavators and dozers that any hemispheric rebuild physically requires, and already exports heavily to Latin America., Deere & CompanyIt is the major US machinery exporter for agricultural equipment across the Americas, capturing demand when Latin American farming operations expand., CumminsIt makes the engines and generators inside trucks, machines, and power equipment that any infrastructure project depends on regardless of contractor., EatonIt sells the electrical gear, switchgear, and power management systems that new factories and grids across the Americas require.20%
- Large-scale infrastructure projects across the Americas need engineering and construction firms to design and execute them, from concrete to electrical systems. · Quanta ServicesIt constructs the power grids and transmission lines that new factories and ports across the hemisphere need to operate., MasTecIt lays the pipelines and power lines connecting new energy and industrial projects across the southern US and toward Latin America., AECOMIt designs the ports, roads, and facilities before construction starts, positioning it to capture early-stage value in any hemispheric buildout., FluorIt is a major engineering firm positioned to win large infrastructure contracts if the US builds across the hemisphere, especially in energy and industrial projects.19%
- Latin America and the Caribbean need US-sourced fuel and gas to power new infrastructure, and these companies own the export terminals and pipelines that deliver it. · Cheniere EnergyIt is the largest US exporter of liquefied natural gas, the fuel Latin American power plants would buy if the US becomes the region's primary energy supplier., Excelerate EnergyIt runs floating terminals that allow countries without permanent infrastructure to import US gas, enabling rapid Latin American market entry., Enterprise Products PartnersIt owns pipelines and Gulf terminals that ship American oil, gas, and chemicals south, collecting fees on expanded energy exports., NOV Inc.It sells drilling and production equipment that any revival of Latin American oil production would require across the region.17%
- Goods moving between the US and Latin America depend on these rail lines, barges, and Gulf routes to function as the supply-chain backbone. · Canadian Pacific Kansas CityIt operates the only railroad connecting Canada, the US, and Mexico, making it the central rail artery for supply chains moving from Asia through the Americas., Union PacificIt carries the most freight to and from the Mexican border of any US railroad, so growing hemispheric trade volumes flow directly through its network., Kirby CorporationIt operates barges moving fuel and chemicals along the Gulf Coast, the waterway through which exports to Latin America pass.15%
