The idea
I think a lot of consumer profit pools only survive because people don't switch: idle deposits, auto-renewed insurance, overpriced plans, unshopped fees. Once AI agents start comparing and switching on our behalf, that inertia gets competed away fast, so I own the side that wins every comparison: high-yield deposit gatherers, direct-priced insurers, always-cheapest retailers, cost-leader plans, and small stakes in the marketplaces where switching happens. It's concentrated on purpose, no single name dominates, and I'm holding cash back to add if things dip.
What it owns
- When an AI agent shops for the best deposit rates, these are the firms paying top-of-market yields without expensive branch networks, so they win deposits that leave lower-paying banks. · SoFi TechnologiesPays near the top of the deposit market with no branches to maintain, so agents shopping for the best yields on idle cash naturally land here., Interactive BrokersPays real interest on uninvested cash while most brokers pocket the spread, making it the natural landing spot when agents sweep idle brokerage money to the highest payer., Robinhood MarketsPays competitive rates on swept cash balances and built its whole pitch around cheap, frictionless money movement, which is exactly what an agent optimizing finances would choose., Ally FinancialIt operates as a branchless bank whose competitive model centers on offering deposit rates higher than traditional branch banks, making it a natural choice when deposit holders compare yields across institutions.28%
- Insurers that price direct and compete on rate tend to win price comparisons, while policies sold through agents and locked into auto-renewal face structural pressure. · ProgressiveQuotes competitively on auto insurance and tends to beat agent-sold and auto-renewing policies when customers actually compare rates., Berkshire HathawayGEICO operates as a structural low-cost direct insurer inside Berkshire, so this position captures the cheapest underwriter advantage when agents force policy comparisons., LemonadeAn AI-native insurer built to quote and switch policies in minutes, making it the speculative direct-priced play if it keeps growing policies and improving loss ratios., Root IncUsage-based pricing creates sharper rates that beat auto-renewed legacy policies in any comparison, so Root wins quotes when agents actually check alternatives.23%
- Retailers structurally built to be the lowest-price option win by default when an agent price-checks, because convenience and loyalty no longer protect expensive alternatives. · Costco WholesaleThe membership model structurally prevents high markups, so Costco wins price comparisons by default when agents check costs across retailers., Amazon.comHas the selection, competitive pricing, and automated purchasing infrastructure already in place, making it the natural execution point for agent-driven buying., WalmartThe everyday-low-price model wins price comparisons without brand loyalty getting in the way, so Walmart gains when agents price-check across retailers.21%
- The cheapest phone plans and the lowest-cost investment funds are what agents switch people into once inertia stops protecting the expensive incumbents. · T-Mobile USConsistently undercuts other carriers on per-plan pricing, so the cheapest network wins subscribers when agents start switching people across carriers., BlackRockiShares funds gather assets when someone or something finally compares expense ratios, making BlackRock the beneficiary of fee compression and passive-flow consolidation.10%
- Comparison marketplaces where rate and policy switching actually gets executed stand to earn more as agents drive higher volumes through their platforms. · NerdWalletEarns when people compare and switch rates, so higher agent-driven comparison volumes directly grow its referral revenue from marketplaces., LendingTreeGets paid every time someone shops a rate or policy and switches, so more agent-driven comparison means more revenue if agents route switching through existing marketplaces.5%
