Hard Assets, Weak Dollar

The idea
I believe persistent deficits will keep eroding the dollar's purchasing power, so I want assets you can touch. The core is precious metal, mostly gold with some silver and platinum, held steady rather than traded. Around that: royalty and streaming companies for gold exposure without mine-level risk, energy and broad commodities that reprice as the dollar weakens, and land, timber, and hard infrastructure for income tied to real assets. I keep a small cash reserve to add on dips and plan to hold this for years.
What it owns
- Gold, silver, and platinum held directly are the purest version of this bet, with no company in between to dilute the repricing when the dollar weakens. · SPDR Gold MiniShares TrustIt holds gold at a low fee and tracks the dollar buying less over time without any company in the middle., iShares Gold TrustIt holds gold directly, offering a clean way to own the metal as a store of value against a weakening dollar., iShares Silver TrustIt holds silver, which tends to move further than gold in both directions when the dollar slides, adding volatility to the metal sleeve., Sprott Physical Gold TrustIt holds allocated gold bars in a vault, the closest a ticker gets to metal held in physical form., abrdn Physical Platinum Shares ETFIt holds physical platinum, a scarce metal that tends to hold value better than paper dollars.42%
- Oil and raw materials are priced in dollars, so a weaker dollar tends to push their prices up across the board. · Energy Select Sector SPDR FundIts energy producers tend to earn more dollars when the dollar weakens and oil prices rise., Invesco Optimum Yield Diversified Commodity ETFIt holds a spread across oil, metals, and crops, the stuff itself rather than companies, so commodity repricing flows directly through., ChevronIt pairs with other oil majors as an income-paying holder of real reserves that tend to hold their dollar price floor., Exxon MobilIt owns oil and gas in the ground, a hard asset that produces income while it sits there and the dollar weakens., Freeport-McMoRanIt digs copper, a metal the world needs regardless of what the dollar does, and copper prices tend to climb when the dollar falls.19%
- These companies collect a cut of mine output without operating mines, so they catch metal's upside with steadier economics than miners carry. · Franco-Nevada CorporationIt collects a cut of mine output without running mines, so it catches gold's upside with less of the cost trouble miners face., Wheaton Precious MetalsIt buys gold and silver from mines at fixed low prices and pockets the difference, so a weaker dollar and higher metal prices flow straight to its margin., Royal GoldIt collects payment on mine output rather than mine operations, so it catches metal upside with steadier economics., Triple Flag Precious MetalsIt is a smaller, faster-growing streamer adding new deals while collecting a cut on mine output without operating mines.17%
- Farmland, timber, and infrastructure are real assets that pay income while holding value against a shrinking dollar. · WeyerhaeuserIt owns millions of acres of timberland that grows more valuable wood every year while the acreage itself holds value., Farmland PartnersIt owns row-crop acres, providing a second farmland holding and diversifying the land sleeve across operators., Brookfield Infrastructure PartnersIt owns pipelines, ports, rails, and utilities worldwide with inflation-linked pricing, throwing off income while holding value., Gladstone LandIt owns farms and collects rent from farmers, throwing off income off land while the land itself holds value.14%
