The World Goes Onchain

The idea
I believe economic activity keeps moving onto public blockchains, and the chains themselves capture that value, so I own the coins directly rather than wrappers. The portfolio spreads across the leading settlement layers, a tier of faster challenger chains, Ethereum's scaling layers, and Bitcoin as a steadier anchor while the platforms compete. I hold a larger cash reserve than usual since these assets swing hard, giving room to add on weakness, and I plan to hold this for years rather than trade it.
What it owns
- The world moving onchain means the platforms hosting most activity today capture value first while the race between chains plays out. · EthereumIt hosts the most settled value, assets, and contracts onchain, and maintains that position as long as it remains the largest settlement layer including activity flowing through its scaling layers., SolanaIt is the strongest current rival to Ethereum by offering faster and cheaper settlement for everyday onchain use like payments, trading, and consumer applications.32%
- Faster, newer platforms could capture activity if transaction volume outgrows what the current leaders can handle economically. · SuiIt is a newer chain built for very high transaction volume that stays relevant only if it converts its technical advantage into growing user adoption from a small base., AvalancheIt pitches itself as the platform where institutions and businesses launch custom chains, and earns its place through actual company deployments rather than announcements., NEAR ProtocolIt focuses on making onchain applications feel like ordinary apps, which matters if normal economic activity migrates onchain and requires converting that usability into real usage.20%
- Bitcoin steadies the take as the oldest and most established onchain asset while newer platforms compete for dominance. · BitcoinIt is the oldest chain and most widely held as the default onchain store of value that institutions and governments treat as the entry point to crypto.15%
- Cheaper settlement lanes built on Ethereum are where much of its new activity actually settles, capturing part of the onchain migration. · ArbitrumIt is the largest scaling layer built on Ethereum where much of the cheap everyday activity actually settles, holding its spot through transaction volume and value locked., OptimismIt powers Coinbase's own chain, providing a direct line to the largest US onramp for new users coming onchain while maintaining its share of Ethereum scaling activity.11%
- Real-world data feeds onto every chain through this provider, so it wins regardless of which platform emerges as the settlement leader. · ChainlinkIt feeds real-world data like prices onto chains, which contracts and tokenized assets require to function across any platform.7%
