The idea
I believe AGI will unlock massive economic gains that accrue to the biggest players, and that robotics is the biggest unlock as AI moves into the physical world. This is a decade-long buildout, so I built a broad, steady basket rather than a punchy bet: a core of scale winners and the chip stack beneath them, paired with the parts inside robots, motors, motion control, precision components, sensors and vision, plus a smaller automation-controls layer. I keep a slice in cash and spread bets across many names rather than leaning on any single one.
What it owns
- The largest technology platforms are positioned to capture economic gains if artificial intelligence reaches advanced capability levels. · MicrosoftIt operates one of the largest cloud platforms for AI workloads and maintains significant stakes in frontier AI research and deployment., AlphabetIt combines frontier AI research with active robotics development, positioning it to benefit from both digital and physical AI applications., AmazonIt deploys robots at scale in its operations and runs one of the largest cloud platforms for AI compute and services., Meta PlatformsIt invests heavily in frontier AI at scale and operates advertising infrastructure positioned to monetize AI applications.23%
- The computing substrate for AI training and robot intelligence flows through a handful of irreplaceable manufacturers and tools. · NVIDIAIt supplies the processors that train AI models and serve as robot brains across data center and edge platforms., Taiwan SemiconductorIt manufactures advanced chips for AI and robotics at the cutting edge, and it remains the sole supplier capable of producing at leading process nodes., BroadcomIt builds custom silicon for large technology companies and provides the networking infrastructure for AI data centers., ASML HoldingIt is the sole manufacturer of extreme ultraviolet lithography tools required to produce advanced AI and robotics chips.22%
- Every robot needs motors, gears, actuators and power transmission hardware regardless of which manufacturer builds the robot. · TeradyneIt owns the leading collaborative robot arm manufacturer and operates a chip-testing business that scales with semiconductor production., Regal RexnordIt produces motors and power transmission components used in robots and automated systems across multiple end markets., AMETEKIt manufactures precision motors and instruments that robots and automation systems require for operation., NovantaIt makes precision motion components, lasers and optics integrated directly into robots and automated systems., Parker HannifinIt produces motion control systems, actuators and hydraulic components that enable movement in robots and industrial equipment., MP MaterialsIt supplies rare earth magnets essential to electric motors used in robots and automated machinery.22%
- Robots operating in real-world environments require sensors, vision systems and connection hardware to perceive and interact. · ON SemiconductorIt makes image sensors and power management chips that enable robots and automation systems to see and function., TE ConnectivityIt supplies the sensors and connectors that link robot joints and systems together across thousands of connection points per machine., CognexIt manufactures machine vision systems that allow robots and factory automation equipment to identify and track objects., Sensata TechnologiesIt makes position, force and pressure sensors that allow robots to know the state of their joints and the force of their grip.15%
- Industrial control systems form the layer that robots and automated equipment connect into across factory deployments. · Emerson ElectricIt provides the control software and systems that industrial plants depend on to integrate and operate automated equipment., Rockwell AutomationIt manufactures the industrial control systems that robots and automated machinery plug into on factory floors.10%
