The idea
I believe AI is moving off screens and into machines that do real, paid work, capturing a share of labor budgets rather than software budgets. Since the winning robot brands aren't clear yet, the basket spreads across the whole stack: companies building the machines, the components every builder needs regardless of brand, the software and simulation tools behind them, and steady industrial names that hold up even if humanoid robots take longer than expected. It's weighted broadly for a decade-long shift, with a modest cash reserve kept on the side.
What it owns
- These companies ship working robots and automation systems today, so they capture labor budgets first as deployments spread across industries. · Rockwell AutomationIt is the standard control system when factories add automation, so much AI-driven physical work runs on its equipment., TeradyneIt owns Universal Robots, one of the few collaborative robot makers already shipping at scale into real workplaces today., Intuitive SurgicalIts surgical robots demonstrate that machines already do high-value paid work, with hospitals paying per procedure and expanding system installs., SymboticIt sells complete robot fleets that replace warehouse labor line by line, demonstrating direct labor budget capture in action., ATS CorporationIt builds and integrates the automated production lines that companies order, so its bookings directly reflect whether the physical AI shift is being purchased., Zebra TechnologiesIt makes the scanners and sensing gear that let machines track inventory locations, a requirement every warehouse automation project shares.28%
- Every robot needs the same core parts, so these suppliers win regardless of which robot brand dominates the market. · NVIDIAIt supplies the chips and software that give robots their intelligence, getting paid by whichever robot brand wins., NovantaIt supplies lasers, optics and precision motion parts used inside surgical robots and industrial machines, collecting from many builders., Regal RexnordIt makes the motors, gearing and power transmission that move automated machinery, the essential powertrain components., Sensata TechnologiesMachines doing physical work need sensors to detect force, pressure and position, which it produces in large volumes as automation spreads., RBC BearingsEvery joint on every robot needs precision bearings, and it is one of few makers qualified for that role across all robot platforms., AmbarellaIt makes low-power vision chips that let machines see without contacting data centers, a critical bottleneck every robot builder requires.26%
- Physical systems are designed, simulated and operated on this software, creating a toll point across the entire buildout. · SynopsysIt owns simulation software where physical systems are tested before building, plus chip design tools for robot brains, holding a toll position., PTCIt creates the digital twins used to design and operate real machines and factories, forming the layer where AI connects to physical systems., AutodeskNearly all physical products get designed in its tools first, so a decade of machine-building means a decade of recurring subscriptions., Palantir TechnologiesIt supplies software that lets AI actually run industrial operations, factories and supply chains, handling the operations layer.18%
- Large diversified industrials profit from factory automation broadly, steadying the take if faster-moving segments experience delays. · Honeywell InternationalIt earns across aerospace, buildings and process automation, providing steady returns even if widespread robot deployment takes longer than expected., Emerson ElectricIt automates plants and refineries, performing steady work that exists regardless of when general-purpose robots arrive., Parker HannifinIt makes hydraulics, actuators and motion systems used in nearly every machine that moves, benefiting from automation broadly., EatonBoth automated factories and AI data centers need serious electrical infrastructure, which it supplies as electrification spending rises.18%
