The idea
I think the dollar is entering a stronger stretch, so I want businesses that live off American customers rather than global or commodity-driven revenue. The portfolio holds domestic services, retailers and auto parts chains that benefit from cheaper imports, US banks and brokers that gain when rates stay high, a slice of domestic small caps, and a short-term Treasury bill fund for direct dollar yield. No foreign stocks, no exporters, no miners or energy. I keep some cash on the side and would rethink this if inflation data turns the dollar trend the other way.
