The idea
I believe that as LLMs make software and services trivially easy to clone, real advantage shifts to what code can't copy: brand, physical presence, and earned trust. So this basket leans into five layers of that shift, the platforms letting individuals run businesses, live experiences you have to show up for, hospitality built on service trust, restaurants where people gather in person, and Ferrari as the rare luxury name with verifiable home production.
What it owns
- When personal brand is the business, these platforms are how one person reaches, monetizes, and sells to an audience. · Meta PlatformsIt hosts the platforms where personal brands are built and monetized when creators need to reach and sell to their audiences., Spotify TechnologyA podcast host's voice and listener trust is the un-clonable asset, and it operates as a toll road for creator income., ShopifyIt is the infrastructure that lets one person with a following run a real business independent of any platform's rules., AlphabetIt is the largest platform for turning a face and a reputation into income, which depends on individual creator watch time staying meaningful., RedditIts value is millions of real people vouching for each other in communities, the earned trust that generated output cannot fake.28%
- Concerts, fights, and races are the one product that cannot be replicated because the value comes from being physically present. · Live Nation EntertainmentIt sells the irreplaceable experience of being in a crowd when the performer arrives, plus the ticketing infrastructure that captures that demand., TKO Group HoldingsReal fighters in real arenas create stories that generated content cannot replicate, and media rights prove audiences will pay for that authenticity., Formula One GroupOnly a fixed number of race weekends happen each year and no software adds more, so it owns scarcity plus driver personalities as brands., Sphere EntertainmentThe Sphere's revenue depends on filling seats at a single venue, making per-event attendance and show bookings the core drivers of financial performance., Madison Square Garden EntertainmentIt is a hundred years of reputation attached to one address, built by in-person events that code cannot replicate.26%
- A stay or a trip is judged on real-world service and reputation, which no artificial system can replicate. · AirbnbIt runs on host reviews and reputation built over years, earned trust that a new competitor cannot copy overnight., Booking HoldingsDecades of traveler trust in handling money and trips cannot be replaced by software, since travel itself is a physical act., Hilton WorldwideA stay is a promise kept in person by staff at a real building, and that service reputation is what travellers trust., Marriott InternationalIts loyalty program has hundreds of millions of people choosing a known name over cheaper unknowns, which is reputation beating product.21%
- Restaurants are where real-life social contact happens on an ordinary day, not just at special events. · Texas RoadhouseIt is people driving somewhere to sit at a table together, the real-life social contact that software cannot replace., Darden RestaurantsIt owns casual dining brands whose entire product is gathering in person, which works if people keep choosing tables over delivery., CAVA GroupIt is growth through new physical locations opening fast, each one a room people show up to instead of ordering delivery.11%
- Production that can actually be verified anchors a brand in reality and cannot be faked by offshore competitors. · FerrariEvery car is verifiably made in one place, so the brand rests on production that cannot be faked or moved offshore.7%
