The idea
I look for small and mid-cap medical device companies that dominate a niche and just won FDA clearance to sell into a much bigger adjacent market, since the same surgeons already buying the niche product become the call point for the new one. Most of the basket sits in cleared-and-launching names where the approval risk is already behind them, with a small sleeve of pending-decision bets sized so a rejection stings but doesn't sink the take. Cash stays around 10% to add on the launch-quarter wobbles these stocks reliably produce.
