The idea
I think consumer discretionary stocks are oversold, punished this year by high rates, tariffs and pricier essentials while energy and tech ran higher. I'm betting that pain is overdone and shoppers come back once rates and prices ease, so I own the everyday and home spending names that would benefit: restaurants, apparel, travel, home improvement and homebuilders, spread across all of them rather than one theme. I skip the two giants that dominate the sector since they're not really this trade, and I keep some cash aside to add if things fall further before the turn.
