The idea
I built this off the seating chart from the September Super Intelligence Luncheon: the idea is that physical proximity to the president at that table is a live signal of who has Washington's ear as AI policy gets written, and that favor shows up later in chip export rules, compute deals, and contracts. The weights follow the chairs, heaviest in Nvidia and Tesla, then Meta and Google, then Microsoft and Amazon, with Anthropic and OpenAI exposure held through their closest public backers since they weren't seated as standalone stocks.
What it owns
- The two seats with the clearest signal of who shapes AI policy at the highest level. · NVIDIA CorporationIt designs the chips at the center of AI compute capacity, making it the first company called on export rules and compute allocation., Tesla, Inc.It serves as the public proxy for exposure to its CEO's AI ventures and influence on policy direction.37%
- Seated immediately adjacent to the innermost positions, one step removed from the center of the policy conversation. · Meta Platforms, Inc.It sits in the inner ring of the policy conversation and stands to benefit from favorable treatment of open-source AI approaches., Alphabet Inc.It remains at the policy table on AI while also holding a public stake in a major AI research company.25%
- Companies flanking the Vice President across from the center, positioned to influence policy from the secondary tier. · Microsoft CorporationIt holds the closest commercial partnership with a leading AI lab, making it the primary public vehicle for that relationship's policy benefit., Amazon.com, Inc.It controls the largest cloud infrastructure likely to be chosen for government AI projects and backs a leading AI research company.23%
- Present at the policy table but seated farther out, with smaller direct influence on near-term decisions. · Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.It manufactures alternative chips for AI and remains present when compute capacity and export policy get decided., Palantir Technologies Inc.It specializes in government contracts and AI deployment, making federal spending on AI projects its most direct growth driver.10%
